Eastern Red Cedar - Day 20

ISO 200, f/8.0, 1/60th sec

This closeup shot of an Eastern Red Cedar (Juniperus virginiana) was taken in the Pachaug State Forest. One of the reasons I enjoy shooting in B&W is it allows you to be more selective in choosing the texture and patterns in the image. The subtle shadows help create that enhance both of these here. This is my 2nd closeup photo and my 1st out of 5000 flora images I want to create.
