This black and white photograph captures the striking presence of a tall, brick chimney standing boldly against a moody, cloudy sky. The image plays with contrasts, highlighting the chimney's industrial texture alongside the natural elements and part of a brick building peeking in from the right. The idea was to reflect on the coexistence of industry and nature, which has always inspired me. Each element in the photograph contributes to a narrative that celebrates both human achievement and the surrounding environment. The process of bringing this vision to life involved unique challenges, especially in balancing the tonal contrasts to emphasize the chimney’s architectural beauty. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this new work.
