This image is the first sunset from my recent photography trip to the southwest region. Taken from Gates Pass in the Tucson Mountains it overlooks the valley below and mountains in the distance. Located at 3172 feet in elevation, Gates Pass is a popular scenic drive with numerous overlooks for vistas and sunset viewing. This is my 3rd sunset or sunrise of the year out of 100 I want to capture in 2024.
